Welcome to the ACM Fremont Professional Chapter
The Fremont ACM Chapter serves as a local hub for this global mission. We create opportunities for professionals, students, and technology enthusiasts in the Fremont area to connect, learn, and collaborate. Our chapter organizes hands-on hackathons, expert-led technology talks, and interactive workshops that explore cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, and cloud computing. We also provide mentorship and networking programs that link members with industry leaders and academic researchers, helping participants grow their careers and launch new ideas. By combining global ACM resources with strong local engagement, we ensure that the Fremont community remains at the forefront of computing innovation.
Part of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Founded in 1947, ACM is the world’s oldest and largest educational and scientific computing society, bringing together over 100,000 members in more than 100 countries to advance the art, science, and practice of computing. ACM is known for its premier conferences, influential research publications, and a global network of professional chapters that drive innovation and share knowledge across every area of computing.
About Our Program Chair
The chapter’s technical program is led by Krishna Suman Dara, Senior Principal Engineer at HPE, with more than 20 years of experience in networking and network automation. His work focuses on AI-driven network operations (AIOps), applying machine learning, large language models, and knowledge-graph techniques to network troubleshooting and automation, with particular attention to making AI-driven network changes safe, measurable, and dependable. He brings deep expertise in Routing, Switching, and Multicast, as well as model-driven networking, including YANG, NETCONF, and gNMI/OpenConfig, and owns critical automation components used in production by large enterprise and service-provider customers.
Suman is an inventor with granted patents and serves on HPE’s Patent Review Committee, where he evaluates new invention disclosures. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Fellow of IETE. An active researcher, he publishes and presents on network orchestration and AIOps, and is an invited keynote speaker at international conferences.
As Program Chair, Suman designs and shapes the technical agenda for chapter events. He coordinates with invited speakers, industry leaders, and subject matter experts, and reviews and approves proposed topics to ensure they align with ACM standards. He manages event schedules, program flow, and session structure, and oversees content quality so that every session meets a high bar for technical relevance and professional rigor. He also supports outreach, publicity, and community engagement for upcoming events, ensuring that the chapter’s programs reflect its technical depth and its standing within the Bay Area computing community.
