Welcome to the ACM Fremont Professional Chapter

Part of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Founded in 1947, ACM is the world’s oldest and largest educational and scientific computing society, bringing together over 100,000 members in more than 100 countries to advance the art, science, and practice of computing. ACM is known for its premier conferences, influential research publications, and a global network of professional chapters that drive innovation and share knowledge across every area of computing.

The Fremont ACM Chapter serves as a local hub for this global mission. We create opportunities for professionals, students, and technology enthusiasts in the Fremont area to connect, learn, and collaborate. Our chapter organizes hands-on hackathons, expert-led technology talks, and interactive workshops that explore cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, and cloud computing. We also provide mentorship and networking programs that link members with industry leaders and academic researchers, helping participants grow their careers and launch new ideas. By combining global ACM resources with strong local engagement, we ensure that the Fremont community remains at the forefront of computing innovation.

About Our Communication Chair

The chapter’s communications are led by Amit Kumar Padhy, Senior Computer Scientist II at Adobe, with ~20 years of experience designing and scaling large enterprise platforms across distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, AI/ML, and digital commerce. At Adobe, he has played a key role in modernizing mission-critical commerce capabilities, spanning pricing, catalog, payments, ordering, and billing, helping drive platform transformation at a global scale.

Amit is a Senior Member of IEEE and holds distinguished professional recognitions through fellow-level memberships across leading technology bodies. He is also an active contributor to the broader tech community through invited talks and leadership in professional associations, helping with knowledge-sharing, credibility, and visibility for the Fremont ACM Chapter.

Through his communication leadership, Amit strengthens the chapter’s presence across members, partners, and the global computing community, ensuring each event, announcement, and outreach reflects the chapter’s professional excellence and impact.
